CPA Exam Study Materials

All CPAs must go through the same process, and it is a rigorous one.  As most CPAs will tell you, personal and social lives become obsolete and studying for the exam is the one and only thing on the agenda.  The first step, is to choose CPA study materials to begin your quest

When choosing from the CPA study materials available, first evaluate a few things.  What is your learning style?  Are you a visual learner, or do you learn better on a self-study program?  Once you have established this, figure out what your budget is.  The price of CPA study materials vary greatly and this will be an important factor when choosing your CPA study materials.

Some CPA courses are live, with live instructors and other peers.  This is great for those that do well in a classroom type of setting.  Some students thrive on interaction and feedback.  Other CPA study programs offer online courses, or self study courses or even CD-ROM courses.  When deciding to sit for the CPA exam, decide what your study schedule will be and go from there.  Live classes are more structured and your current schedule may not allow for that type of study.  Self-study courses may not be the best option for someone who is not well-disciplined or structured.  Once you have determined your goals, schedule and budget, it should be easier to choose CPA study materials that best suit your needs.

There are many different CPA Exam Study Materials available. Some of the most notable programs are:

Wiley

Wiley CPA study materials are infamous for their practice exams and practice test questions.  Their online software programs offer 3,000-4,000 practice exam questions and are very popular among CPA candidates.  It is also less expensive than most other CPA review programs.

Bisk

Bisk CPA study materials are also great.  Robert Monette is one of the live instructors and he has many years of experience in teaching CPA exam review courses. Bisk has been around since 1971, and have a long lasting reputation in the industry.  Bisk is cheaper than some CPA study materials on the market.

Becker

Becker is one of the CPA study materials out there that is “tried and true” and consistent.  It is a very comprehensive program.  Becker is one of the most expensive programs out there, and the price can (and does!) increase at any time that Becker sees fit.  Becker is a great program, and you get what you pay for.

Some of the other notable  CPA Exam Study Materials  on the market are Wiley, Gleim, Roger, Yeager, and Keller.
